The WH601H is a 25-inch M2 HSS Williams & Hussey knife blank in bar-length format, 2 wide and 1/4 thick. Unlike the pre-cut WH blanks in specific short lengths, this 25-inch bar provides stock for cutting and grinding multiple individual W&H knives in-shop — appropriate for shops that run significant volumes through Williams & Hussey equipment and prefer to manage knife blanks from bar stock rather than ordering individual pre-cut pieces. Williams & Hussey moulders and matchers use a specific knife geometry; blanks must be ground to the required moulding profile before installation. M2 molybdenum HSS provides improved toughness over T1 in demanding profiling applications on hardwood and mixed species. Cut from bar to required knife length; grind to moulding profile on appropriate surface grinding equipment. Confirm the 25-inch bar matches the W&H head knife dimension for the installed machine.
