Description

The QC300CW is a set of 3 corrugated back high-speed steel straight knives for the Schmidt Innovator quick-change cutterhead system — knife dimensions .865 inches by 2 inches by 5/16 inches, ground for clockwise spindle rotation. Clockwise rotation is required for shapers and moulders running CW spindle direction — European-specification machines and some US shaper models with reverse rotation. Using a CCW-ground knife in a CW machine will produce a scraped rather than sheared surface; using a CW knife in a CCW machine does the same. The corrugated back locks mechanically into the Innovator cutterhead body without individual height setup.
