Description

Running multiple moulding and stile-and-rail profiles from a single head starts with the 80mm Schmidt multiprofile head blank. The blank is the unprofiled body: profile backers seat into it and each backer carries a replaceable carbide insert, so one head produces many profiles by swapping backers instead of buying a dedicated cutter for every profile. The 80mm width sets the maximum profile height the assembled head will cut and matches the 80mm backer-and-insert sets in the Schmidt multiprofile system. Backers and inserts index to the head’s seats for repeatable positioning through profile changes, and are ordered separately as the profile library grows. For millwork shops running varied door, sash, and moulding work, the modular head replaces a shelf of single-purpose cutters and holds tooling spend down over time. Supplied as the head body only; select the backer and insert sets for the profiles you cut, and confirm machine spindle and bore before ordering.
