Description

When the general-purpose workload includes non-wood materials, a TCG grind blade covers the mixed material range that ATB cannot handle without chipping. This 10 in. blade with 40 triple chip grind teeth on a 5/8 in. bore cuts solid wood, MDF, particleboard, melamine sheet goods, plastics, and non-ferrous metals from a single blade setup. Triple chip geometry uses alternating flat trapper and chamfered raker teeth to handle both the shearing demands of wood and the scraping action required in brittle composites and non-ferrous material. At 40 teeth, gullet volume is adequate for the varied chip types — wood shavings, MDF dust, and composite powder — that accumulate during general shop cutting across multiple material types. A laser-cut low noise plate stabilizes the plate under the varied feed rates and engagement depths that come with cross-material cutting. Carbide tips are ground to TCG geometry to handle abrasive composite materials without rapid edge degradation between sharpening cycles. The 5/8 in. bore fits standard 10 in. saw arbors. Keeping a TCG general purpose blade mounted saves the blade changes that would otherwise happen each time the material changes.
