Description
The long T-bushing provides maximum body length inside the cutter bore for reduced tilt and stable radial support, particularly in cutters where the bore passage is deep enough to engage the full bushing length. This AM-91-008 adapts a cutter bored to 3/4″ to run on a 1/2″ spindle — a configuration found on smaller shapers and trim machines. The flanged T-shape seats on one face of the cutter to control axial position, while the extended body minimizes runout by spreading contact across the length of the bore. Freeborn machines these to close tolerances so the fit between bushing and spindle, and between cutter and bushing, is tight and predictable. A necessary accessory for running 3/4″ bore tooling on a 1/2″ spindle.
