Description
The Schmidt BN250 is a finished M2 high-speed steel eighth round profile knife ground to 2-3/4″ H × 2-1/4″ W × 5/16″ thick. An eighth round is a convex curved profile segment — one-eighth of a circle in cross-section — used in corner trim, edge treatments, and as a component within compound architectural moulding assemblies. At 2-3/4 inches of profile height and 2-1/4 inches wide, the BN250 produces an eighth round scaled for standard trim and millwork applications. Available in Corrugated 60° back for use in 60° corrugated moulder heads and in Williams & Hussey back format for W&H machines. Ground M2 HSS — installs ready to run on pine, poplar, oak, and standard moulding stock without additional setup grinding. Confirm the specific eighth-round geometry from the Schmidt catalog to verify it matches the target profile cross-section before ordering.
