Description

The CB207M6 is a 25-inch M3 high-speed steel corrugated-back knife bar, 2-3/4 wide and 5/16 thick, for corrugated-back (CB) moulding and planing heads with 60° corrugation. The 60° corrugated back interlocks with matching head corrugations, providing positive mechanical knife retention that prevents radial shift during operation. Bar-length stock is cut to the required knife length for each profile and head configuration in-shop, then ground to the finished moulding profile on a surface grinder. The 5/16 thickness must match the head’s knife slot specification; the 2-3/4 width determines the maximum profile height. M3 is a high-alloy HSS grade with superior wear resistance over T1 and M2 — a premium choice for hardwood moulding, abrasive profiles, and production operations where extended edge intervals between grinds are important. Confirm head slot accepts 5/16-thick knife stock at 2-3/4 knife height. 60° corrugated back; 25-inch bar length.
