M2 HSS 1-3/4″ × 1/4″ Beveled-Edge Steel Bar — 25″

Description

The SS110H is a 25-inch M2 HSS beveled-edge steel bar, 1-3/4 wide and 1/4 thick. Beveled-edge bars have a ground bevel on the back face rather than the corrugated serrations used in corrugated-back heads — suited to knife heads that lock knives using wedge, gib, or bevel-back clamping geometry where a smooth or beveled knife back is required. Bar-length stock is cut to the required knife length in-shop, then ground to the moulding or profiling geometry on a surface grinder. The 1/4 thickness must match the head’s knife slot specification; the 1-3/4 knife width (height) determines the maximum profile depth achievable. M2 molybdenum HSS provides improved toughness and abrasion resistance over T1 grades — well-suited to demanding moulding profiles and harder species where T1 edges wear too quickly. Ground on standard HSS surface grinding equipment. Confirm the head accepts beveled-back knife stock at 1/4 thickness and 1-3/4 knife height before ordering.
