Schmidt Adjustable Backout Profile Knife — A100

Description

The Schmidt A100 is a finished, ground M2 high-speed steel adjustable backout profile knife dimensioned at 1-3/8″ H × 1-3/8″ W × 5/16″ thick. Adjustable backout knives are used on moulding heads to produce the stepped relief cut on the back side of stile-and-rail door components, allowing cope-and-pattern joints and raised panels to seat correctly without interference from back-cut material. Ground to the A100 backout profile geometry, this knife coordinates with matching cope and pattern sets for consistent door frame production. Available in Corrugated 60° back for use in 60° corrugated moulder heads (including Shop Fox and similar corrugated-head machines) and in Williams & Hussey back format for W&H moulder and matcher equipment. M2 molybdenum high-speed steel provides toughness and edge retention suitable for production runs in solid wood door stock. Select the correct back type for the installed machine head.
