Description

The BBT085L is a carbide tipped boring bit — 8mm diameter, 57mm overall length, 60-degree tip angle — in left-hand rotation. The 8mm diameter is used on CNC multi-spindle boring machines for larger hardware hole applications: 8mm dowel holes for structural dowel joinery, Confirmat screw pilot holes in European case furniture, and hardware fittings requiring an 8mm bore. Larger than the 5mm series (BBT055L/055R), the 8mm bits are typically used in combination with 5mm bits on the same boring head to produce complete panel boring patterns in a single machine pass.
