Description

The IBK60 is a 60mm-wide, 3/8 in. thick corrugated-back steel backer plate for the Schmidt multiprofile system. The backer carries a replaceable carbide profile insert and seats into a Schmidt multiprofile head (IM3-series); its 3/8 in. thickness supports the insert solidly through the cut, which markedly reduces insert breakage versus thinner backing. The corrugated back locks into the head’s serrations for precise, repeatable positioning as profiles are changed. At 60mm it matches the 60mm head width and the 60mm profile-insert sets. Building a library of backer-and-insert sets lets one head run many stile-and-rail and moulding profiles instead of a dedicated cutter per pattern. Supplied as the backer plate only; order the profile insert separately and confirm head width before ordering.
