Description

The ID551G is the 1-1/2-inch bore version of the 3-wing insert flooring groove cutter — same 5-1/2-inch OD and 30mm width as ID550G but sized for machines with 1-1/2-inch spindle bore. The 1-1/2-inch bore fits a range of shapers and four-sided moulders used in production hardwood flooring manufacturing where the spindle diameter exceeds the more common 1-1/4-inch format. Insert-style design allows in-field insert rotation and replacement without cutter body resharpening. The groove cutter runs paired with ID551T (tongue cutter in the same 1-1/2-inch bore) to produce a complete tongue-and-groove flooring profile. In a matched set, the groove dimension on ID551G and the tongue dimension on ID551T are precision-machined for tight flooring joint fit. For 1-1/4-inch bore, see ID550G.
