Description
The 8-1/2 in. sliding miter saw is one of the most common platforms in trim and finish carpentry, and this 60-tooth ATB-with-raker blade on a 5/8 in. bore is built for the crosscutting those saws do daily. Alternate top bevel geometry with raker teeth handles both the cross-grain shearing quality needed for finish crosscutting and the chip clearance capacity required in dimensional trim lumber and solid wood molding at production miter saw feed rates. The ATB-with-raker tooth arrangement shears fibers cleanly on both faces of the cut while raker gullets clear chips efficiently, keeping the blade cutting cleanly through repetitive crosscutting cycles. A laser-cut low noise plate reduces the resonance and blade noise that build up during sustained miter saw use — expansion slots in the plate dampen harmonic vibration that would otherwise transfer to the cut edge and introduce surface irregularities. Carbide tips are precision-ground to maintain ATB geometry through production-level trim and finish cutting. In trim carpentry, cabinet installation, and millwork shops where the 8-1/2 in. miter saw runs all day, this blade delivers consistent crosscut quality shift after shift.
