The TC20537 is a 37-inch carbide-tipped HSS bar-length planer and jointer knife bar, 1-1/4 wide and 5/32 thick. At 37 inches, this is a long-form bar suited to wider machine configurations or shops requiring maximum knife count per bar — a 37-inch bar provides the highest yield for production shops cutting multiple knife sets in-house from stock. The 1-1/4-wide profile covers this knife height range; 5/32 thickness must match the head slot. Carbide tipping extends edge life significantly over solid HSS in hardwood, abrasive manufactured board, and high-volume softwood production — carbide-tipped knives require diamond grinding equipment and are preferred where edge intervals must span long production runs. Ground to finished profile on a surface grinder. For planer and jointer heads accepting 5/32 × 1-1/4 knife stock at 37-inch bar length.
