XLW HP 3″ × 3/8″ Corrugated-Back Knife Bar — 25″

Description

The CB238X6 is a 25-inch XLW high-performance HSS corrugated-back knife bar, 3 wide and 3/8 thick, for corrugated-back (CB) moulding and planing heads with 60° corrugation. The 60° corrugated back interlocks with matching head corrugations, providing positive mechanical knife retention that prevents radial shift during operation. Bar-length stock is cut to the required knife length for each profile and head configuration in-shop, then ground to the finished moulding profile on a surface grinder. The 3/8 thickness must match the head’s knife slot specification; the 3 width determines the maximum profile height. XLW HP is Schmidt’s extended-wear premium alloy — formulated for longer edge intervals than standard T1, M2, or M3 grades. Suited to high-volume production moulding where maximizing time between grinds reduces downtime and per-knife tooling cost.
