Description

The INKS414 provides a box of 10 solid carbide 14 x 14 x 2.0mm square spur inserts for Schmidt indexable insert heads that use this spur geometry. Spur inserts are positioned at the periphery of multi-wing indexable heads to score panel surfaces ahead of the main carbide inserts, preventing surface tear-out in veneer-faced panels, melamine-faced board, and other face-sensitive sheet goods. Square spur inserts with equal 14mm sides can typically be indexed to expose fresh cutting edges when one edge dulls, providing multiple edges per insert before the spur is replaced. At 2.0mm thickness, the INKS414 spur is matched to the insert seat depth in heads designed for this geometry. Sold in boxes of 10 to stock production shops running multi-wing indexable heads for panel processing and grooving operations.
