Description

The Schmidt TE040312 is a precision SYOZ25 collet for 5/16-inch shank router bits and CNC tooling. ER-style collets clamp tool shanks through radial compression as the collet nut draws the collet into the taper bore of the tool holder. Each collet accepts a small range of shank diameters — not just the nominal listed size — with the spring-steel collet wall flexing to grip shanks within the collet’s acceptance range. This SYOZ25 collet fits the SYOZ25 / EOC25 tool holder system, which uses a proprietary collet format compatible with specific CNC router spindles and holders. Precision-ground to close runout tolerances for accurate, repeatable tool clamping. Replace collets that show wear, deformation, or loss of spring tension; a worn collet increases tool runout and reduces surface quality and tool life.
