Description
The MC-69-001 cuts the interlocking drawer-lock joint that connects a drawer front to its sides — a mechanical interlock that is stronger than a dado-and-rabbet joint and machined in one shaper setup with a single reversible cutter. Profile 001 is one of two drawer-lock geometries in Freeborn’s Mini-Pro series; verify profile 001 against your drawer stock thickness and Freeborn’s drawer-lock specifications before ordering — profile 002 (MC-69-002) covers the alternate joint proportion. The Mini-Pro drawer-lock cutter runs at 2-5/16″ OD, which is notably smaller than the standard 2-15/16″ Mini-Pro diameter: the drawer-lock geometry requires a specific cutting circle proportioned to the joint depth and drawer stock thickness. The 3/4″ bore fits the Mini-Pro spindle. Drawer-lock joints are common in production cabinet drawer boxes machined in solid wood, MDF, and Baltic birch plywood. FB-DL-PL-001 is the matching Pro-Line (1-1/4″ bore, 5″ OD) version of profile 001.
